Our Sustainable Clothing Process
OUR DESIGN PROCESS
We believe that pieces should be made to last and be worn and loved for years to come. The more you fall inlove with your wardrobe, find your favorite ways to style each piece, and learn the value of a staple item the less clothing you will own and more importantly throw away. A good staple wardrobe is a planet saver and a style maker. That is why Zoe Rose designed each piece for Artista Rose simply and easy to pair with your existing clothes.
FABRIC SOURCING
We are very proud to say that we source dead-stock fabric for all our clothing. Deadstock is the excess fabric from bigger companies that are saved from going into the landfill. What makes the dead-stock fabric so beautiful is its limited supply, making each piece inherently rare and sustainable. Once sold we may never be able to find more of that particular fabric and therefore make another dress like it. We like to think we are making pieces that are as special and one of a kind as the people who wear them. Repurposing fabric has never looked so good.
OUR MAKERS
We believe that the people making your clothing should be treated fairly and with care. A piece of clothing cannot truly be beautiful if it is not made ethically and without harm to the people who bring it into the world at every stage of the process. We work closely with baythread.com which is an apparel development business for consulting, patterning, and help oversee the production process. Bay Thread is located close to us in California to keep our creation process local and stay in touch.
